C2C Crochet Pattern Round Up - 15 Corner-to-Corner Crochet Patterns

C2C Crochet Pattern Round Up - 15 Corner-to-Corner Crochet Patterns

Have you heard about the corner to corner method in crochet?

This is a fabulous crochet stitch/technique where, instead of crocheting side-to-side either horizontally or vertically, the project is crocheted diagonally from one corner to the opposite corner. There are various types including the "traditional" version which uses dc stitches, and other popular styles use HDC C2C, granny stitch C2C, or even the wattle stitch C2C. While I like to use the half double crochet method, it’s completely up to you what you prefer!

Now that we’ve got a basic understanding of this, I’m very excited to announce my C2C Creations event! In the first fifteen days of May, I’ve come together with amazing crochet designers, and we’ll release a pattern each day for you to have fun with. This is such a unique collection of patterns with everything from a laptop sleeve, market bag, and blankets to a clutch, teething ring, and more!

I hope you’re all looking forward to it! These patterns will range in difficulty to help you practice different variations of the C2C technique and leave you with a beautiful collection of projects to gift or keep at the end.

Colorwork with C2C:

One of the best parts about C2C is that you can make amazing designs and images in your work. Color changes are quite easy once you get the hang of them and here’s a video to ease your journey.

Top Tips for C2C Colorwork

In the video above you learned the basics of switching colors in corner-to-corner crochet. In the video below I share with you some tops tips for ensuring your colorwork looks right.

Different stitches for unique variations

As mentioned before, you can use a variety of the basic crochet stitches to achieve your C2C pattern. There’s even a pattern here featuring the cluster stitch and another with the granny stitch! I hope you’ll enjoy going through all of the variations and learning what you like best.

What is a blog hop?

If you’ve never participated in a blog hop before, you might be wondering what a blog hop is. A blog hop is a fun crochet event where you get to hop around different blogs to get FREE PDF patterns. It’s almost like a scavenger hunt!

How does it work?

Each day throughout the month of May, I’ll be sharing a FREE PDF from one of my designer friends that fits the theme of C2C design! At the start of each day, you’ll be able to get a new pattern from a different designer that will be available for FREE for 24 hours. Some patterns will be available for free as a direct download from the designer’s website, others designers will offer a coupon code for a free download from Ravelry. You can find out all of the detailed instructions in the graphic below!
